It’s too late to turn back, here we go

I did a lot of eating my feelings in Portland this weekend, and I have the Seattle half coming up soon, so I needed to get a good long run in yesterday. I’m usually pretty good about mileage, but sometimes I plan a long run and then once I’m out there I think “good enough” and cut it a little short. I really didn’t want to do that this time, so I dropped the kids off at school then just kept running. Once I was seven miles away, I turned around and headed back, my foolproof plan to make myself do a 14 mile run. It was surprisingly pretty great. I still feel slower than normal but I managed the distance with ease, so I’m feeling very ready for the race. And even contemplating another full in the spring. Maybe. Probably. Maybe. Definitely maybe.
